What was your favorite part of this rotation?

I loved learning how to analyze disease state markets to identify the unmet needs our client’s drug addresses and its niche. It was super interesting thinking about the business aspects of pharmacy to identify what will drive growth of a market, resist its growth, and potential opportunities in a company’s strategy.

What advice do you have for pharmacy students preparing for rotations?

Being positive and coachable is the best way to seamlessly join various teams. There’s so much to learn from every professional you encounter – remaining open-minded has allowed for so many impactful conversations. Look for opportunities to grow your confidence and have trust in the voice you have developed throughout pharmacy school!

What are your plans after graduation?

I would like a career in the pharmaceutical industry impacting patient’s experiences not just with their treatments, but with their overall disease states. I would like my work to contribute to truly understanding the patient journey and HCP prescribing habits to lead meaningful initiatives.
