Angela Zwarycz

The preceptor had this to say about Angela:

HIPPE Rotation at Memorial Hospital Jacksonville

“During her IPPE rotation, Angela completed an extension Drug Utilization Review of Angiotensin II (Giapreza) for our facility.  She provided complete and detailed information regarding outcomes and compared our data to the trial data.  Based on results from her extensive review a decision was made by our medical staff to remove Giapreza from our formulary due to lack of mortality benefit at our facility in spite of high drug costs.  Excellent work!”

What was your favorite part of this rotation?

“Getting to go on rounds with the pharmacists on the floors and seeing how valuable a pharmacist is to the healthcare team.”

What advice do you have for pharmacy students preparing for rotations?

“Don’t be afraid to take on tasks that are outside your comfort zone and never be afraid to ask questions or ask your preceptors for unique experiences.”

What are your plans after graduation?

“I plan on doing a PGY1 and possibly a PGY2 to specialize in pediatrics.”

What is a fun fact about you?

“I never traveled much as a kid so now my goal is to take at least one trip every summer. So far my favorite places have been the Grand Canyon and the Salt Lake in Utah.”
