Brief bio or Site description
I graduated from the University of Florida in 1998, after a primary care residency at Florida Hospital I began my career at Hobbs Pharmacy. My career at Hobbs has progressed from being a student during school to now being a co-owner. I try to use these experiences to help students navigate the choices they will have as they decide their futures. I will always be thankful for the mentors I had as a student and resident and how those pharmacists helped guide me. I hope I can help future students in the same way.
What is your or your sites philosophy on educating students and/or providing pharmacy services?
Our philosophy at Hobbs Pharmacy is to expose students to an extensive experience. We try to show students the pharmacy services we provide and how these services create value in the healthcare system and a business. We cover different aspects of pharmacy including retail, long-term care, and compounding but we also cover the finances of the pharmacy ecosystem as well as covering personal finances and what students may want to consider as they choose a career.
What is a fun fact about you or the site?
Several times a week these days you can hear the rumble of a SpaceX rocket going off and we can step outside to watch it.
