What is your or your sites philosophy on educating students and/or providing pharmacy services?
HCA Florida Ocala Hospital Department of Pharmacy strives to give back to the next generation of pharmacists by providing a comfortable and inclusive learning environment where students can gain practice experience through hands on learning and one on one time with preceptors. We believe each students’ time on rotation is valuable and want them to get a well-rounded interactive experience while they are on-site with us. We provide educational opportunities for all students including direct patient care, interdisciplinary rounds, participation in administrative committees, department in-services, longitudinal process improvements and participation in pharmacy research. We aspire to enhance the learners not only as well-rounded clinicians but also assisting them in their career development and mental wellness techniques.
