Jill Zaccardelli preceptor

The student had this to say about Dr. Zaccardelli:

“My preceptor was a fantastic teacher and always treated me with respect and kindness. I felt comfortable speaking with her about any pharmacy questions I may have. She created a positive, judement-free zone. I think to truly create this environment is no small feat. She was able to give me a lot of autonomy but also was able to guide me wherever I struggled. AdventHealth overall has created a lot of structure to this rotation and that does not go unnoticed. It has a clear schedule with clear expectations. This site provides challege while still providing helpful guidance of key topics.”

What is your or your sites philosophy on educating students and/or providing pharmacy services?
The AdventHealth Orlando Pharmacy Department values and supports student education and participation in patient care through pharmacy services. Students are able to discuss their assessments, document a plan, and communicate recommendations to other healthcare providers with oversight from their preceptor. Rotations include both didactic learning on topics relevant to hospitalized patients and real-world practice with pharmacy service initiatives.
