General Medicine at UF Health Shands Hospital

“Excellent knowledge and strong clinical skills. During the rotation, Josh made significant number of interventions that got accomplished. For example, he made recommendation to de-escalate antibiotic based on blood culture and PCR result. He also went above and beyond for this patient who has epidural ropivacaine in for pain control. He went ahead to look into the recommendation on anticoagulant while having the epidural catheter in place.”

What was your favorite part of this rotation?

“My favorite part of this rotation was presenting and discussing patients with my preceptor. The feedback she gave helped me grow my confidence in assessing and developing a plan for my patients.”

What advice do you have for pharmacy students preparing for rotations?

“If you give a solid effort and have a great attitude you will do great!”

What are your plans after graduation?

“I plan to pursue a PGY1 residency, and am considering a PGY2 in oncology or critical care later on.”

What is a fun fact about you?

” I can play piano but I can’t read music.”
