Kierra Weber

The preceptor had this to say about Kierra:

Pharmacogenomics at Nemours

Kierra performed at a high level during her PGx rotation. She consistently demonstrated a high level of professionalism while completing patient consults and various other tasks. She maintained great communication with all those she worked with during this rotation. Kierra even went above and beyond to work on a research project and write a newsletter article for the Pediatric Pharmacy Association. She is an outstanding student and deserving of recognition of her professionalism and motivation to keep learning!

What was your favorite part of this rotation?

My favorite part of this rotation was having the opportunity to be involved in direct patient care. I was able to listen in on appointments and even lead some under the pharmacist’s supervision. This allowed me to work on my patient care skills and build confidence in a clinical setting.

What advice do you have for pharmacy students preparing for rotations?

My advice for pharmacy students preparing for rotations is to approach each rotation with an open mind and a positive attitude. Every experience has something valuable to offer, and you will get out of it what you put in.

What are your plans after graduation?

After graduation, I am currently planning to pursue a PGY1 residency.

What is a fun fact about you?

A fun fact about me is that my biggest fear is something super small. I am terrified of frogs.
