Brief bio or Site description
Our Publix Pharmacy is 3 years old and growing! We’re a little off the main road and have a little less volume than some of the busier community lcoations. This allows our team focus on all tasks outside of dispensing. With students, we focus a lot on DUR, making decisions you will be faced with as the sole pharmacist in charge on any given day, outcomes, adherence, etc.
What is your or your sites philosophy on educating students and/or providing pharmacy services?
My philosphy is to take the time to slow down and teach students/staff because if you are constantly rushed, you won’t learn with confidence. It takes a little more time upfront to train, but the training will always make your team more efficient in the long run.
What is a fun fact about you or the site?
This location is actually down the street from where I grew up! So it’s hard not to know someone or their family everyday.
