Brief bio or Site description
I have been with Publix Pharmacy since 2012. I spent the majority of my time as a Pharmacy Manager at the Moffitt Cancer Center location. A couple years ago, I opened a new store in Lutz, Fl . The change has allowed my experience to shift from a strong focus on managerial tasks and serving as a liaison between our corporate office and the hospital, to building strong relationships in the community with patients and prescribers.
What is your or your sites philosophy on educating students and/or providing pharmacy services?
At my current site, I try to show students all aspects of community pharmacy. I want to make sure I paint a realistic picture of what it means to serve our community. My goal with students is to balance their exposure to administrative tasks, patient counselling, and all of the steps we take to fill medications safely. Helping students feel more prepared following graduation has been very rewarding for me, and I appreciate the opportunity!
What is a fun fact about you or the site?
Our store will only be two years old in November!
