The preceptor had this to say about Madison:

Viera hospital

Madison consistently exceeded expectations while on rotation. She was able to quickly pick up clinical and operational workflow and always willing to help out with any tasks. Her positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and strong work ethic left a lasting impact on the team.

What was your favorite part of this rotation?

My favorite part of the rotation was being able to experience many different areas of pharmacy in the hospital, and help follow up on patients by reviewing their medications, monitoring their progress, and seeing how pharmacist interventions could directly improve patient care.

What advice do you have for pharmacy students preparing for rotations?

My advice would be to definitely take every opportunity to learn during the rotation. Don’t be afraid to ask questions or for feedback and make sure you come prepared to learn something new everyday. Always challenge yourself to step a little bit out of your comfort zone.

What are your plans after graduation?

After graduation, I plan to do a PGY1 and PGY2 in the area of pharmacy I want my career to be. Right now I am interested in emergency medicine

What is a fun fact about you?

A fun fact about me is I have lived in Florida my whole life and I love going to the beach!
