Megan

The preceptor had this to say about Megan:

Publix (store 1821)

Megan very quickly learned all the features of our pharmacy system and even stepped in to help coach some of the technicians who were hired recently. She was consistently kind, positive, and professional in all communications. She even had a few interventions that led to medication changes for patients.

What was your favorite part of this rotation?

My favorite part of the rotation was definitely the people I worked with there. Their positive energy made the pharmacy environment enjoyable. I always felt supported and inspired to learn, as there was something new to discover every day. Working with such passionate and knowledgeable colleagues made the experience not only educational but also really fun.

What advice do you have for pharmacy students preparing for rotations?

My advice to pharmacy students getting ready for their rotations is to always feel comfortable asking questions and to approach each encounter with a positive attitude. It’s easy to get caught up in overthinking things, so don’t hesitate to seek clarification from your preceptor, colleagues, or friends if something is unclear. They are there to help you! I also encourage positivity, as that can help with communication and build a trust between you and anyone you encounter.
What are your plans after graduation?

After graduation, I plan on pursuing a residency. I’m not sure exactly which field I want to go in, but I really enjoy infectious disease and oncology.

What is a fun fact about you?

I was born on a Friday the 13th!
