The student had this to say about Dr. Iwanyshyn:

Dr. Iwanyshyn and Dr. Johnson were fantastic preceptors. They made me genuinely excited to come to rotation everyday because their positivity and love of learning/teaching was just infectious. They made it a point to tailor my rotation to me to help me succeed in areas I needed extra support in. They treated me not just as a student, but as a resident and future colleague. I am incredibly impressed with just how much I got to learn and grow on this rotation all thanks to these incredible preceptors.

What is your or your sites philosophy on educating students and/or providing pharmacy services?
My philosophy in educating students is to create a supportive but challenging learning environment where learners are encouraged to think critically and develop confidence in their clinical decision-making. In a busy surgical and trauma setting, I emphasize real-time application of knowledge, teamwork, and clear communication with the interdisciplinary team. I aim to help students build a strong clinical foundation while also developing the independence needed for real-world practice.

What is a fun fact about you or the site?
I’m a longtime Seinfeld fan and can always find a way to relate real-life situations back to an episode.
