AdventHealth Apopka
Nick Mastromarino, PharmD, BCPS
The student had this to say about Dr. Mastromarino:
Dr. Mastromarino is an incredible pharmacist and preceptor. Through the trust we built, he allowed me to independently practice as much as I could for a student. I was able to make recommendations to providers during MDRs or through message, work on consults and cosign my consult notes into the patient chart, provide patient education counseling independently, and put in new or modified orders. Additionally, he guided me through difficult cases and challenged me academically to expand my knowledge throughout the entirety of my rotation. It was an honor to work with such an encouraging preceptor, and I appreciate all the opportunities he gave me to continue to learn and grow in my practice.

We believe that with collaboration with the patient care team we can deliver a safe and outstanding patient experience by ensuring the right medication is ordered and distributed for the right patient, the first time on time. Educating pharmacy students and residents is paramount in this process and learners play an integral part in helping us transform medication management for whole person health.
What is a fun fact about you or the site?
A fact people may not know about me is that I used to compete on a swim team for many years and I still love being out on the water. An interesting fact about our site is that we are located in one of Orlando’s fastest growing suburbs.
