Broward Health Comprehensive Care Center
Samantha Vickers, PharmD, BCPS
The student had this to say about Dr. Vickers:
Dr. Vickers genuinely cares about her patients and this has deepened by passion for HIV care. She goes above and beyond, ensuring medication safety, collaborating with other providers, and always putting her patients first. She teaches with patience, grace, and peace that make learning exciting and fulfilling. She has also created a space where students feel calm, confident, and inspired to grow. She has shown me what it means to be an exceptional pharmacist and preceptor.

What is your or your sites philosophy on educating students and/or providing pharmacy services?
My philosophy on educating students and providing pharmacy services centers on creating a supportive, inclusive environment where learning and growth are encouraged. I believe students thrive when they feel valued, respected, and comfortable asking questions, and I strive to foster a setting where they can build confidence while developing clinical and professional skills. At Comprehensive Care Center, collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. As a highly team-based practice, we actively involve pharmacy students in patient care, allowing them to learn through meaningful, hands-on experiences. I view teaching as a shared process and encourage open communication, critical thinking, and continuous feedback.
What is a fun fact about you or the site?
