AdventHealth Tampa
Shannon Robb, PharmD, BCPS
The student had this to say about Dr. Robb:
When I started this rotation, I was nervous due to my limited experience in pain management. However, Dr. Robb provided the support, guidance, and collaborative environment I needed to be successful. She offered constructive feedback that strengthened my clinical skills and built my confidence by allowing me to independently work up patients and provide counseling during pain management consults. She truly embodies the qualities of an exceptional leader and preceptor, and I am grateful for the opportunity to have learned under her mentorship.

What is your or your sites philosophy on educating students and/or providing pharmacy services?
My teaching philosophy centers on developing confident, capable pharmacists by creating a learning environment where the student feels valued, supported, and an integral member of the clinical team. I prioritize understanding the students’ preferred learning style and adapting my teaching approach to help them engage in complex clinical concepts. I believe students grow most when they are trusted with responsibility, included in the decision-making process, and encouraged to use their voice.
What is a fun fact about you or the site?
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time on the water boating, paddleboard, and fishing, and spending time with family and friends.
