Somer Slappey, PharmD, MS, BCPS, BCCCP
The student had this to say about Dr. Slappey:
“Somer was a phenomenal example of a pharmacist who cares about not only their patients, but about making the profession stronger. Somer allowed me to develop my clinical knowledge above all and even helped me to get ACLS certified. She cares about being a teacher, student, pharmacist, and mentor. She goes above and beyond in everything that she does!“

What is your or your sites philosophy on educating students and/or providing pharmacy services?
Educating students and residents is really a joy of mine. Their rotation with me is not “my” rotation; it is “their” rotation. At WHH, we do our best to tailor the rotation to their interests and their goals, providing them with the experience they need to learn what they can and apply it to their future.
What is a fun fact about you or the site?
They say you never forget how to ride a bike, but I did.
