Brief bio or Site description
My site is a Specialty Pharmacy with a focus on Infectious Diseases, mainly HIV, hepatitis and skin infections. We are involved in the community hosting many community events and providing free services such as immunizations to help protect the community we work with.
What is your or your sites philosophy on educating students and/or providing pharmacy services?
We provide the utmost care to a diverse set of patients. We are a patient centered pharmacy where we provide services, not limited to MTM, financial assistance, adherence counseling and PREP education. Since we have a large patient population with HIV, we guide our students toward educating patients on HIV prevention, initiation of HIV medications and helping with financial assistance. We help them utilize the tools needed to have a seamless interaction with the patients. We strive to help the students advance in their pharmacy profession.
What is a fun fact about you or the site?
A few fun facts about me: Outside of work, even from being from Florida I love to snow ski, I just finished my 16th half marathon, I love sunsets, the beach and cooking.
