UF Health Jacksonville
Taylor Herndon, Pharm.D.
The student had this to say about Dr. Herndon:
“Dr. Herndon was such an amazing preceptor for my ambulatory care APPE. Throughout everything she did, you could tell how much she cared about her patients as well as my learning experience as a student. Dr. Herndon is very passionate about precepting, and I hope to be able to give student pharmacists preceptorship like her one day. She asked the “why” behind a lot of topics to help deepen my understanding on the topics as well as constantly providing feedback for growth and improvement. Thank you Dr. Herndon :)”

What is your or your sites philosophy on educating students and/or providing pharmacy services?
As a pharmacy student and as a resident, I was fortunate to have multiple preceptors who left a positive, lasting impact on me both professionally and personally and who truly taught by example. Now as a preceptor, I model my precepting philosophy around incorporating those impressionable qualities of former preceptors into my teaching style, tailoring my learning experience and teaching to the interests and needs of the individual learner, and working to lead by example throughout the learning experience to help develop a knowledgeable, confident, and compassionate future practitioner and individual.
What is a fun fact about you or the site?
My favorite hobbies are traveling, supporting my Georgia Bulldogs (sorry!), and going to concerts. A few years ago, I won a Meet & Greet contest and was able to meet my favorite artist, Carrie Underwood.
