“Theresa is heavily involved in many pharmacy organizations, and her pharmacy is exceptionally focused on patient centered care. Theresa personally knows her pharmacy’s regular patients, and even with her packed schedule of meetings and managerial tasks, she makes time to be involved in what is happening at the pharmacy counter, to answer questions from students, and to step in when it gets busy. Theresa is exceptionally patient with the students at her pharmacy, and ensures they have ample opportunity to experience as much as possible during the rotation.”
Brief bio or Site description
Bay Street Pharmacy is a second generation family pharmacy established in 1984 and services north Indian River and south Brevard counties. Bay Street Pharmacy’s motto is “Where caring people care for you” and our exceptional team accomplishes that by providing individual care to each patient. We always have at least two pharmacists to counsel and answer your questions. Owner and pharmacist, Theresa Tolle, along with our dedicated staff are committed to fulfilling our customers’ needs. When it comes to your health or the health of your loved ones and pets, please feel confident that we will handle any concerns with care and compassion. As an independent pharmacy we strive to provide services that our community needs. We are accredited to teach DSMES classes for diabetic patients, we provide MTM and value-based pharmacy care services, compounding, immunizations, test and treat, compliance packaging, medication synchronization, durable medical equipment and delivery. We enjoy hosting students and showing them how pharmacies can be clinical community hubs and we also enjoy all that we learn from our students.
What is your or your sites philosophy on educating students and/or providing pharmacy services?
We precept pharmacy students for several pharmacy schools for both IPPE and APPE. As an independent pharmacy we strive to provide services that our community needs.
