Trang is an excellent preceptor. She takes the time to answer any questions her student have for her and is thorough in her answers. She provides as much experience the student wants out of their rotation, and is incredibly patient in teaching students any new skills or sharpening weaker ones. Overall, the team here is incredibly supportive and patient with the students. My preceptor, the staff pharmacist, lead tech, and experienced technicians were all incredibly helpful, supportive, and patient with their students. They made me feel like part of the team while on my rotation, and I really enjoyed working with this crew.

Brief bio or Site description
During the pharmacy intern rotation, students gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced community pharmacy setting. Key responsibilities include prescription processing, patient counseling, immunization support, and inventory management. The rotation emphasizes patient-centered care, medication safety, and professional development, preparing interns for a future role as a pharmacist in a community setting.
What is your or your sites philosophy on educating students and/or providing pharmacy services?
My goal is to mentor interns into confident, compassionate, and well-rounded pharmacists who are prepared to excel professionally by fostering hands-on experience and critical thinking.
What is a fun fact about you or the site?
Our pharmacy is open 24 hours and is the busiest CVS in the district, serving a predominantly Spanish speaking community. This provides interns with valuable experience in high-volume workflow, cultural competency, and bilingual patient communication skills that are essential for real-world pharmacy practice.
