Brief bio or Site description
Hi, I’m Tyler. I am a clinical pharmacy specialist in the intensive care unit. Primarily, I work in the Medical ICU (MICU), but I also cover the Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) and Neuro ICU. I’ve been a pharmacist for 11 years. I graduated from the University of Florida College of Pharmacy in 2012 and completed my residency at Lakeland Regional in 2013. I am both a board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist and a board-certified critical care pharmacist. I am also an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy teaching skills lab for 2PD.
What is your or your sites philosophy on educating students and/or providing pharmacy services?
I have a passion for teaching. People often describe my style of teaching as patient and broken down to easy-to-understand concepts. My main philosophy is that we must know the basic concepts to understand the more advanced ones.
What is a fun fact about you or the site?
In my free time, I enjoy running and working out. Staying active is a big part of my life. I have ran over 25 half marathons and over 12 full marathons.
