What was your favorite part of this rotation?

My favorite part of this experience was being able to be a part of a life saving team in a real world, high intensity environment. The fast paced nature of the ICU or emergency room is an exciting pressure filled environment that every pharmacy student should go through. Performing under pressure is what made me a better future pharmacist.

What advice do you have for pharmacy students preparing for rotations?

The pharmacists you are shadowing have been in your shoes before and know that you won’t know everything they do. It’s ok to not know something, you will learn as you go.

What are your plans after graduation?

Current plans are to get a PGY-1 residency back in South Florida. I am really interested in the field of pediatric oncology and it’s the reason I wanted to become a pharmacist.

What is a fun fact about you?

Growing up I played baseball for 12 years.
