The preceptor had this to say about Kaitlyn:

APPE Rotation at Orlando Health – Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children

“Overall performance, highly motivated & fantastic attitude, great patient care recommendations”

What was your favorite part of this rotation?

“I absolutely loved the opportunity to work on an amazing interdisciplinary team to create an impact for our pediatric patients. I enjoyed being challenged every day by my amazing preceptors.”

What advice do you have for pharmacy students preparing for rotations?

“Pharmacy school can never fully prepare you for all the complex patients you’ll see along the way. Always show up with a positive attitude and be a self-starter. You’ll grow so much more if you don’t wait for your preceptor to tell you everything. Challenge yourself to grow in confidence while working alongside other health professionals; you can all learn so much from each other!”

What are your plans after graduation?

“I plan to apply to a PGY-1 Residency in adult medicine and hope to continue on to a PGY2 in one of my passion areas of pediatrics or hematology/oncology.”

What is a fun fact about you?

“If you knew my family, you’d know adventure was written in my DNA. My parents got married underwater so I was destined to be a scuba diver!”
